Home style Macaroni and Cheese:

2lbs. Elbow Macaroni
1 8 oz. box of Regular Cream Cheese
1 16oz. Box of Regular Velveeta
4 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
3 Cups Milk
1tsp. Pepper
1tsp. Garlic Powder

Cook pasta as directed, drain. Cube cream cheese and velveeta. Add all ingredients to warm pasta and stir until melted over low heat. Serve.
* may have to add more milk as needed for desired consistency.

Apple Crisp II

You’re Soup-er Luncheon Recipes

Loaded Potato Soup


16 potatoes, peeled and cubed

1 cup butter

1 cup flour

8 cups milk

2 cans evaporated milk

¼ cup chopped onion

1 16 ounce container sour cream

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

salt and pepper to taste




Placed cubed potatoes into a glass dish and cook in the microwave for 7-10 minutes, or until soft.  While potatoes are cooking, melt butter in a large pot over medium-high heat.  Whisk in flour, the gradually stir in milk and evaporated milk.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium and simmer for 5-10 minutes, or until thickened.


Stir in potatoes and onion, cook for 5 minutes.  Stir in sour cream and cheese until well blended and add salt and pepper to taste.



Chicken Tortilla Soup




4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts

1 teaspoon olive oil

2 teaspoon minced garlic

1 teaspoon cumin

4 cans chicken broth

2 cups frozen corn kernels

1 cup chopped onion

2 teaspoon chili powder

2 tablespoon lemon juice

2 cups chunky salsa



In a large pot over medium heat, sauté the chicken in the oil for 5 minutes.  Add garlic and cumin and mix well.  Then add broth, corn, onion, chili powder, lemon juice and salsa.  Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.



Indian Summer Turkey Chili





4 tablespoons olive oil

2 pounds ground turkey

6 tablespoons chili powder

2 tablespoons cumin

4 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

4 tablespoons hot sauce

1 large onion, diced

3 large colored bell peppers, diced

1 bottle of beer(alcohol will cook off…;)

2 8 oz. cans tomato sauce

1 cup BBQ sauce

2 cups corn kernels




Heat pot over medium heat, add turkey and olive oil.  Season the meat with chili powder, Worcestershire and hot sauce.  Brown meat, add onion and bell peppers and cook 10 minutes.  Add beer and deglaze the pan scraping the drippings and cooking off the alcohol.  Add tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, and corn and bring chili to a simmer.



Texas Sheet Cake






2 cups flour

2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup sour cream

2 eggs

1 cup butter

1 cup water

5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder



6 tablespoons milk

5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

½ cup butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

4 cups powdered sugar






Preheat oven to 350.  Grease and flour a 10×15 pan (jelly roll size).  Combine flour, sugar, baking soda and salt.  Beat in sour cream and eggs, set aside.  Melt butter on low in a saucepan, add water and 5 tablespoons of cocoa. Bring mixture to a boil, then remove from heat.  Allow to cool slightly, then stir cocoa mixture into egg mixture until blended.  Pour batter into prepared pan.  Bake for 20 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.



In large saucepan combine the milk, cocoa, and butter.  Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.  Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.  Spread frosting over warm cake.



Pumpkin Bars





4 eggs

1 cup vegetable oil

2 cups sugar

1 15oz. can pumpkin

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon ground cloves

2 teaspoons cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground ginger

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda



1 6oz. block regular cream cheese

1 stick butter or margarine

1 tablespoon cream or evaporated milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

4 cups powdered sugar




Preheat oven to 350.  In a large bowl blend together eggs, oil, sugar and pumpkin.  In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, baking soda and salt.  Add flour mixture to pumpkin mixture, blend well.  Spread into buttered jelly roll pan and bake 25-35 minutes, watch carefully.  Cool and frost with icing.

Our Science Resource Center (SRC) is a facility that houses many live animals and information to bring directly to our classrooms to give our students real-life/hands-on learning.
Please consider becoming trained in the demos offered and bring it back to Keith for learning that is guaranteed to excite and engage our children!

2.       Create an edit key- Pick something EASY to remember!   If you ever need to take your name off the calendar you have to have an “edit key.”  I can not remove a name from the calendar.
